Telehealth during COVID-19

As we cope with the many changes related to COVID-19, it’s important that we have a solution for continuing therapy in a way that is safe and convenient.

While I would much rather have sessions in person, the COVID-19 outbreak is serious enough that we are encouraged to use telehealth rather than meeting in person.

So, until things get better out there, and in time they will, we’ll stay in the safety of our own spaces and have our sessions through a secure, telehealth platform which I will introduce to you as we get started. It’s simple, user friendly, and can be used on a computer or smartphone.

How does online therapy work?

I’ll send you a link that will connect us securely and privately. All payments, scheduling and document-sharing will be worked out through the online system.

My preference is to work in person. But if that’s just not possible, we can use the technology that’s available to help you from wherever you are.

Will my insurance cover telehealth?

The laws regarding telehealth coverage are changing regularly. It’s best to contact your insurance company and ask if you have telehealth benefits. You might also want to ask what your cost-sharing (copays and deductibles) will be for regular sessions.
